It is located in the northern part of Saudi Arabia, 30 km from the Jordanian border. It is located on the Gulf-Balsham-Europe international road, and is about 360 km from the city of Skaka. It covers an area of approximately 50 km ². The population of Qurayyat alone was 116,162 and the total population, together with its affiliated centres and villages, was 147,550.
